Book Haul – Discover your new book!

Book Haul – Recently Bought and Borrowed books! πŸ™‚

Hey, long time no see! I`m on vacation right now so sadly it`s been awhile since the last review, but I`m currently working on two new reviews for you and I`ve started a new book. So it should be two or three reviews heading your way within a months time πŸ™‚

I didn`t want the wait to be too long and unbearable so I decided to drop by with a little “haul” type of thing. August 9th was also the date of the National Book Lovers Day, so I thought we could celebrate that with this little post. So these are all my recently bought and borrowed books, all that I hope I`ll be able to review some time. I`ve tried to gather books of different genres, hopefully to make my audience bigger and more satisified! I got some thriller, young adult, adult fiction, children/middle age and manga! Keep on reading and you`ll get to see the newest additions to my book collection (I got some a couple months ago but most of them are recently bought/borrowed).
Maybe you`ll even find something you`d want to read?!

First up, the book I`m currently reading:

History is all you left me by Adam Silvera

This is a young adult fiction novel with main characters whose part of the lgbtq community. It`s about how Griffin handles life after his first love and ex boyfriend Theo, whom he always thought would come back to him, dies. And how it changes when the only person who can relate to him is Theo`s current boyfriend, Jackson.
He then must choose between confronting his past, or miss out on his future.
You can read more on the back of the book, and if you`re uable to see there`s more information here:

Simon vs. the homo sapiens agenda by Becky Albertalli

This is also a young adult fiction novel with main characters whose part of the lgbtq community. Its`s a story about sixteen year old and not-so-openly gay Simon being blackmailed. His flirty emails to a boy named Blue got caught in the wrong hands. Martin, who is the “wrong hands” the emails got to, blackmails Simon by saying he has to be his wingman or else Simons sexuality will get out to the whole school. All this drama makes Simons junior year alot more complicated than he anticipated. The back of the book read a thought Simon has, “Straight people should have to come out too. The more awkward it is, the better”, and I find that kind of funny.

The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion

This book however, is a humorous adult fiction novel. It`s a story about Don Tillman, professor of genetics, whose never been on a second date. This makes him believe he isn`t wired for romance, he barely even has any friends. Suddenly an acquaintance informs him that he would make a wonderful husband, and his first reaction is shock. But then he proceeds to start “The Wife Project”, to find himself the perfect partner. When he meets Rosie he realizes that the project might not work as planned, love is not always what looks good on paper.
“The Rosie Project” has a second book aswell, called “The Rosie Effect”.

Lucy in the sky by Paige Toon

At Goodreads “Lucy in the sky” is labeled as a womens fiction novel, to me it seems like a kind of dramatic and romantic fictional novel. It`s a story about Lucy traveling back to her home country Australia after being away for nine years. She`s going to the wedding of her best friend Molly and one-time love of her life Sam. And even though she`s happily dating her lawyer boyfriend Jackson, she feels as if this weekend will be something special. Especially after she gets a suspicious message from a woman, claiming she`s been sleeping with Lucys boyfriend, which he says is a lie. She also meets Mollys brother Nathan during the weekend, and eventually finds herself caught between two distant continents and two very different men.

Vampire Knight (#1) by Matsuri Hino

This is a fantasy manga series about vampires, this one compared to the other (No Game No Life) is written/illustrated in the usual manga (picture) format, similar to a comic book. I thought the description on this manga from goodreads was written quite good, so I decided to just pace that in here and put the link underneath.
“Yuki Cross has no memory of her past prior to the moment she was saved from a vampire attack ten years ago. She was adopted by the headmaster of Cross Academy, and now works alongside Zero to guard the Academy’s secret. Cross Adademy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the school, protecting the Day Class from the Academy’s dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires!”
This manga does also have an anime.

And that`s it for this time, Thank you so much for dropping by! Hope you found something new and interesting to read and/or a review to look forward too πŸ™‚
